EDUCATION LOTTERY RETAILERS RECEIVE RECOGNITION
The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) is recognizing three retailers in each of its five regions for exemplary customer service and for increasing lottery sales. Two Asheville Region retailers have increased sales by 124% up to 140% and have been named "Stellar Sellers." Another retailer has been named a S.T.A.R. for their enthusiasm for the lottery that is evident throughout their store.
NCEL retailers that have increased their sales by the highest percentage in the region compared to the previous quarter have earned the title of "Stellar Seller." One location per region earned the title of S.T.A.R. (Spectacular Technique Achieving Retailer) based on NCEL sales representative recommendations for a store's unique sales promotion technique. The NCEL announces the following retail locations in the Asheville Region named "Stellar Seller" or S.T.A.R.:

Fastlane Express Lane, 324 S. Washington St., Hendersonville
"We have a happy place and help the players enjoy themselves," said Bo Stanley, co-owner of Fastlane Express Lane. That upbeat attitude has earned this retailer S.T.A.R. status for the quarter. Stanley has an added convenience for players. She stores a number of her customers' lottery play slips so they don't have to keep up with them or fill out new ones. When they come in she pulls them and provides the player with the number of tickets they request.
